Move with Ease
In a Rosen Movement class, simple, range-of-motion movements teach us where and how our bodies are designed to move. The movements also help us discover patterns of tension and habits of movement that have been causing us pain or limiting our potential, and give us the possibility and choice to undo damage and to move more freely. In the process, we breathe more freely, find better balance, increase mobility, lubricate the joints, and feel better. And doing all this with awareness deepens our connection to ourselves and our feeling of aliveness.
Rosen Movement is for everybody, fit or injured, weak or strong, coordinated and physically adept or not!--because it is about awareness and learning to move within each person's own particular body with freedom, self-compassion, and ease. Rosen movements are preventative as well as restorative, and support people in whatever physical activities they do in their daily lives.
Rosen Movement is rooted in Marion Rosen's training as a physical therapist as well as in her profound understanding of how muscles work and how they express and hold the experiences, emotions, and attitudes of our lives. As with Rosen Bodywork, Rosen Movement can open people to new possibilities inside themselves and their lives, because the movements come from the core of the body and can tug on emotions, habits, and attitudes that we hold onto in our musculature.
Imagine....
This is Rosen Movement!
